Welcome to Maplewood Hollow, a beautiful wooded valley full of hills and trees with a river running through it. The main character is a hedge hog named Hedwig. Hedwig’s favorite things to do are to work in his garden and bake scones a pastries for his friends. The other inhabitants of Maplewood Hollow are mostly animals–the digging types who make their homes in nice, warm holes in the ground. Hedwig, although lives in a tidy brick cottage in the middle of Maplewood Hollow.

In the first book of the 4 book series, An Invitation to Mystery Hedwig, while trying to give his friend Mr. Beasley a birthday party, runs into all sorts of problems. Not the least of which was that Rufus the Badger was brought to tears.

Charlie a handsome robin, comes to Hedwig’s rescue by teaching him to trust God, and pray for the Lords help in times of trouble.

My name is Deborah Sorena, I am the writer-illustrator of the book series and i have always wanted to create a special place where children can get to know Jesus in a deeper richer way. Maplewood Hollow is such a place.
